Full Throttle Trail
Tata Motors Full Throttle Trail, the first adventure sports activity by Tata Motors SUV owners, concluded successfully at Hotel Great Value, Dehradun. It was the half-day trail flagged off at 10 am from Hotel Great Value, along with more than 30 Tata Motors vehicles participating in the event. The event showcases ruggedness and capability of Tata Motors utility vehicles.
Tata Motors SUV vehicles which participated were both all wheel drive as well as front wheel drive vehicles including the Tata Safari, Tata Xenon XT, Tata Sumo and Tata Aria. The participants were from Dehradun who attended the trail, facing challenging routes specially prepared for this off-roading activity and the rugged terrain consisted of steep rocky ascents, river crossings and slush beds posing some exciting challenges for participants who needed to complete the trail within a maximum stipulated time to qualify as finishers.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jatin Lakra, Head Marketing – Sumo & Grande, Passenger Cars said, “We are delighted with the enthusiastic participation of Tata Motors customers from Dehradun, at this off-roading event. The activity not only demonstrated the capability of Tata Motors vehicles, but also enhanced the experience received by each of our customers, with most of them going off-roading for the very first time. The track was customized with variations, in-line with the experience and skill level of participants, ensuring they made the most out of their vehicles.”
Till date, a total of 21 trails have been planned across the country over the course of the year, with each course being planned to exhibit the thrill, ruggedness, toughness and handling of Tata Motors SUVs in off-road conditions. Tata Motors Full Throttle recently launched another property under the Full Throttle banner, called Tata Motors Full Throttle Experience. Full Throttle Experience is an off-roading expedition which will span over a number of days, the first expedition called the Himalayan Experience ended on July 2nd, 2012. The next expedition called the Konkan Experience will be flagged off from Mumbai on 28th September and will traverse through the Western Coast and the Western Ghats.
Tata Motors launched the Tata Motors Full Throttle in February 2011, as a platform for steering the company’s participation in motor sports and allied activities. Tata Motors Full Throttle has been victorious in some of the most reputed rallies namely Desert Storm, Dakshin Dare, Raid De Himalaya, Eastern Mountain Safari rally and the Hornbill International Motor rally.
